Final #5 (your view of the "future" of Immersive Education)

The Future of Immersive Education.

Trying to determine the future of Immersive Education is not an easy task. Like we've spoke about in class technology is advancing at an every rapid rate. What's new today is upgraded or phased out for a newer faster model tomorrow. Virtual reality seems to be the next step in this process and Immersive Education seems to be at the forefront of it. The simulated environments that they have produced see

m to create the perfect work space for an office environment or classroom. Being able to create a virtual world where no one has to leave the confines of their home and meet in a virtual world is brilliant. In that environment having the ability to share information through multiple platforms using various pieces of software adds to it's unique dynamic.

Ten years from now I see Immersive Education perfecting this environment that I have been speaking about. Working out the kinks and really focusing on building an environment that allows for smooth transfer among all working platforms and many commonly used types of software.

With advancement in avatars and virtual reality environments, I see Immersive Education leading the way in creating a central meeting place for schools and businesses. Avatars ten years from now will be more life like and be much more an extension of us when created. Allowing schools and businesses

the ability to keep there students and workers at home will save on transportation costs to everyone involved and have the bonus effect of being good for the environment.

I see myself working in technology ten years from now as well. I'm not sure in what role, but I would like to be doing something that I feel contributes to preserving our earth. My main focus will be learning about environmentally friendly technology and “Immerse” myself in that. Specifically I am interested in green energy technology for electricity and powering of cars.

I hope that what ever it is that Immersive Education is doing in ten years, it is befitting society and contributing to the preservation of the earth.
